New Delhi, July 26: A land that exemplifies courage, sacrifice, valour and heroism, India has rightly positioned itself as a powerful nation which will never bow to anyone. A true example of the same has been the Kargil War which still remains fresh as India on July 26 celebrates 20 years of victory saluting the bravehearts.
Coming together as a united as the soldiers were during the war, India today released a video commemorating 20 years of Kargil Vijay Diwas aiming at ‘Remembering their sacrifice’, ‘Rejoicing the victory’ & ‘Renewing the pledge’.
The video brings together celebrities from the film fraternity owing respect and tribute to the brave heroes for their supreme sacrifice to keep the country safe.
Akshay Kumar took to social media and shared a video of a jawan as a tribute to the Kargil Vijay Divas. In the video, the army jawan is singing Teri Mitti from Akshay's film Kesari. Akshay captioned the video, “Came across this heart-warming video which made my day. When your small tribute reaches the people it’s meant for...what more can you ask for? A million salutes to our #BharatKeVeer.”
Kargil Vijay Diwas, named after the successful Operation Vijay, is celebrated on July 26. Exactly 20 years ago on this date in 1999, India took command of the outposts that had been last to Pakistan.
