Nagpur, June 17: National character is as important as personal character. Sangh tries to build-up the national character in the people from all walks of life. Sangh Shiksha Varg is the manifestation of national character arising out of the true devotion to Bharatmata. I appeal everyone to take forward the doctrine of patriotism to every nook and corner of the nation, said RSS Sarsanghchalak Mohan Bhagwat on the valedictory ceremony of the Sangh Shiksha Varg, Tritiya Varsh (Third year of Sangh Shiksha course) held yesterday in Nagpur, Maharashtra.

Sangh Shiksha Varg, Tritiya Varsh concluded yesterday in Dr. Hedgewar Smriti Bhavan Primises in Reshimbag, Nagpur. The Varg was inaugurated on May 23. Total 828 participants from across the nation attended the course. At the valedictory ceremony, Sarsanghachalak Mohan Bhagwat addressed Swayamsevak attending the course.

“Everyone present here must have noticed a coincidence that the Course is inaugurated and being concluded in the aftermath of the Lok Sabha Election, as it happened five years ago. In 2014, the valedictory of the course coincided with the day of coronation of Chatrapati Shivaji Maharaj i.e. Zyesht Shukla Trayodashi (third day of Zyesht month). Same thing has happened this year too due to elections,” said Mohan Bhagwat.

Briefing about the victory of the BJP government Mohan Bhagwat said that although some expectations of the people remained unfulfilled in the last tenure of the government, people didn’t lose confidence but gave another opportunity in anticipation of the fulfilment of the same. Thus the responsibility on the government has increased.

Bhagwat fired at the Former West Bengal Government for anti-democratic behavior. He said, “Dr. Babasaheb Ambedkar had alerted us about the possible threats to healthy democracy in his very first speech in constitutional assembly. He had clearly told that it was not the external power but the internal conflicts and clashes which made it easy for British to rule over India. Continuation of party-pride even after election is the biggest threat to the nation.

“If we take a brief review of all Lok Sabha elections since independence, we can easily come to know that in each successive election, people seem to have voted with greater and greater rationality. Now, a greater level of understanding has been established among the voters hence no party can fool them with false assurances. This is a hope-raising picture for us,’’ he further added.

Once the election is over, the competition obviously has to end. Now it is the responsibility of the leading party to start working towards nation-building and that of the parties in opposition to cooperate on the decisions in national interest. We have to create parties only because it is the necessity of the election. Belongingness to a party should be forgotten and converted into the belongingness to nation immediately after the election"said Bhagwat while addressing the attendees of the course
