Phase 5: Will BJP upset the Congress crown prince in Amethi?

 

In phase 5, all parties will hope that the voters will not follow the arithmetic of 2014. Going by simple total of 2014 votes, BJP will loose 7 seats in UP but will maintain all seats in Rajasthan. However, BJP will hope to upset the UP equation of SP + BSP to retain its seat share and even try to upset Congress equation in Amethi itself where Smriti Irani has consistently focused since 2014.

 

 

 

Congress’s real hope lies in Rajasthan where based on assembly election performance it will try to snatch a significant amount of seats from BJP.
