Bhubaneshwar, May 30: On 29 May, just one day before the establishment of the central government, the BJD was sworn in for new government. The BJD president Naveen Patnaik, only standing opposition leader, took oath as CM for the 5th time, started their work from the 1st day of the cabinet.
The inaugural Odisha Cabinet chaired by CM Naveen Patnaik approved increasing the target for KALIA beneficiaries from 42 lakh to 75 lakh, adding another 33 lakh families. Cabinet sanctioned immediate disbursal of funds to all, 25 lakh of which to get assistance within a week.
As committed, Today CM Naveen Patnaik put the first signature for immediate disbursal of assistance to farmers of Odisha with KALIA. This is a continuation of the State Government’s commitment to ensure livelihood and income support for farmers in the state.
The council of ministers headed by CM Naveen Patnaik agrees in principle the BJD manifesto as a priority of the state government.
On this occasion, newly appointed CM, Naveen Patnaik said, “I would like to emphasize once again on the 3T model of governance- teamwork, transparency & technology leading to transformation. I am going to add a fifth dimension to this- time. Time is of critical essence. The youth of today are in a hurry”.
