Striving towards cleaner environment, Dharmendra Pradhan unveils India's first long distance CNG bus

New Delhi, December 24: Striving towards cleaner environment, Petroleum and Natural Gas Minister Dharmendra Pradhan today unveiled India's first long distance CNG bus fitted with CNG cylinders at a function in New Delhi. It can travel around one thousand kilometre in a single fill.

In his tweet, Pradhan said, “Unveiled India’s first Long Range CNG Bus in Delhi today and shared my thoughts on the shift towards cleaner fuels, making India a gas-based economy and the strive towards a cleaner environment.”

 

Pradhan also said that this is a revolutionary step which helps reduce vehicular pollution. He said, the first long range interstate CNG bus will ply from Delhi to Dehradun. Mr Pradhan said, such type of buses will soon ply between Delhi to Jaipur, Chandigarh and Agra.

The project has been executed by Indraprastha Gas Limited, the largest CNG distribution company in the country.
