Boosting tourism of the state, Jharkhand inaugurates "Patratu Lake Resort"

Ranchi, October 3: Boosting the tourism sector of the state, Jharkhand inaugurated the newly built "Patratu Lake Resort" at Patratu at a cost of Rs 70 crore on the occasion of 150th birth anniversary of Mahatma Gandhi.

 

On the occasion, CM Raghubar Das said since 2016, this was my dream project. The work of developing Patratu Dam started with the objective of the economic prosperity of the state, providing direct and indirect employment to the people and bringing the beauty of Jharkhand to the world. Today I am happy that within 18 months the government is handing over this beautiful dam to all you Jharkhandites.

Let’s see what is the specialty of Patratu Lake Resort:

- Patratu Lake Resort is a tourist place away from the hustle and bustle of the city, where children, elderly, youth, people of all ages can experience happiness.

- There is a grand children's park for children to play.

-The water park can experience a variety of water sports, such as jet-skiing, high-speed motorboats, side boats, casts and parasailing.

- The amusement park has wall climbing, bungee jumping, multilayered rope course.

- Entrance, walls and pillar tattoo adorned with "Mural artwork" at the Patratu Lake Resort, spread over 21 acres, revive the painting.

- Patratu Lake Resort has been developed like an open art gallery. Mural artefacts made by 52 artists from different states of the country have been installed here. In addition, 16 sculptures are proposed by famous craftsmen.

- A Chhath Ghat has also been constructed, so that the Chhathrathi can offer Arghya to the Sun.

- Sunset point of Patratu Island can be reached by boat to have a panoramic view of the sunset. Scaffolds are also built to watch the sunset.

- To buy handloom and fancy items, a shop and a restaurant for catering have been arranged.

- An 8-block camping plinth area has been built to enjoy the bonfire at Patratu Lake Resort.

- For the morning and evening walks, a 3.5 km promenade is built above the dam, where the tourists can enjoy the nature by walking.

- A modern guest house with facilities has been constructed for tourists to stay. Tourists can enter rooms or dormitories as per their convenience.
