Ranchi, October 17: Laying progress path for the state, Chief Minister Raghubar Das inaugurated and laid the foundation stone for 120 power projects worth 10 thousand 608 crores is Govindpur (Dhanbad) on Wednesday.

During the occasion, the Chief Minister said that in Jharkhand which required 114 grids, there were only 31 grids. Power distribution, transmission, and production had many functions to perform. So far, 18 grid construction work has been completed, 46 gridwork is in the final stage. 350 new sub-stations are being built. 120 work has been completed. The work of 54 will be completed soon. Today is a day of happiness that inauguration and foundation stone laying of schemes worth Rs 10 thousand 608 crores. The inauguration of 16 new grids and the foundation stone of 16 grids is also being done. Now people here will have less dependence on electricity from DVC.

The Chief Minister said that farmers of the state also have to provide electricity for agricultural work. 174 feeders are being constructed for agricultural work. The work of 120 feeders has been completed. Construction of 54 is in the final stages. A power plant is being constructed at Godda. From where the state will get 25 percent of the electricity produced.

Raghubar Das said that people who promise to provide free electricity to the public trick people. The same thing has been done since independence, but the present government does not want to make any false promise to the people. There is also the confidence to fulfill what is promised. The government will give you quality uninterrupted power, but we will also pay electricity bills. Failure to do so will result in a loss to the Energy Department, which will be difficult to recover from that deficit. Think, despite the huge reserves of coal due to the wrong policies of earlier governments, the Department of Energy is in deficit. There is so much power in the coal of Jharkhand that it can illuminate the world.

The Chief Minister said that in the past if instead of selling coal, electricity generation would have been done, value-added plants would have been set up, the unemployed would have got direct and indirect employment. In the coming days, the industry (Bhatta) which is closed in Nirsa will be started. When coal is available, it will work.
