Adding wings to boost tourism: Spiritual city Varanasi takes off a direct flight to Kathmandu

Varanasi, June 30: Adding new wings to the development and connecting with neighboring countries, Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath on Friday flagged off the direct flight service from Varanasi to Kathmandu.

Thrusting a major boost to air traveling, the spiritual city gave an upswing to the first flight that took off from Varanasi's Lal Bahadur Shastri International Airport at Babatpur. The new flight has been quite well structure and infrastructure connectivity joins it to many Indian cities. Although the flight operating between Varanasi and Kathmandu is expected to not just see a spurt in regular travelers but also rise in numbers of those looking to fulfill their spiritual needs.

 

UP Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath tweeted informing the flagging off of the new air service between Varanasi and Kathmandu giving the major push to the tourism industry.

Connecting the spiritual city to Kathmandu, the move will give a major thrust to the tourism industry. The flight has been scheduled to fly twice in a week from Monday to Friday.

On diplomacy lines, opening up more air routes with Nepal could also be a diplomatic boon. This boon will dwell to give in major boost at a time when China has been trying to improve its connectivity with Kathmandu.

While Nepal is trying to balance itself on a tightrope, there is no denying that it has had far closer diplomatic and cultural ties with India for decades. People-to-people connect was also highlighted by PM Narendra Modi when he visited the country earlier this month. Apart from this the city of Varanasi also started the bus service from the spiritual city to Khatmandu.
