Panaji, February 16: In order to enhance the technology in the state, Param Shavak an indigenously designed supercomputing solution from the Centre for Development of Advanced Computing has been launched.
IT minister of Goa Rohan Khaunte was speaking at the inauguration of the centre for development of advanced computing’s (C-DAC) supercomputer, PARAM Shavak virtual reality (VR), during the two-day national PARAM Shavak user summit on Thursday in Panaji.
“The Goa government is already using the Gauri software (solutions for the department of stamps and registration). New technologies like Param Shavak-VR will help us move ahead in the technology domain,” Khaunte observed.
Param Shavak machine PARAM Shavak - solution, aims to provide the computational resource (Capacity building) with advanced technologies to perform high-end computations for scientific, engineering and academic programs to address and catalyze the research using modelling, simulation and data analysis. This initiative is expected to create HPC aware skilled workforce (Capability building) and for promoting research by integrating leading-edge emerging technologies at grass root level.
