Raipur, December 1: Chhattisgarh Chief Minister Dr Raman Singh today said that the Bastar region, which is called as the red corridor area because of Naxal activities, is fast transforming into a ‘green corridor’ because of the state government’s development works.
He said that the state of Chhattisgarh has registered slow and steady irreversible progress in last 17 years. He added that in these 14 years Chhattisgarh has achieved such great heights of development which is far more then the economic and social index of other states. No one in Chhattisgarh die due to hunger in Chhattisgarh.
He said that per capita consumption of electricity is the social indicator of any state and Chhattisgarh is amongst the top three states. The state’s per capita consumption has increased from 525 to 1724 unit.
