Hyderabad, Nov 28: In order to promote the rich handloom sector of the region, Telangana government will present a traditional handloom saree to Ivanka Trump, the Daughter of US President Donald Trump. According to media reports, marking the grand occasion of Global Entrepreneurship Summit actress Samantha Akkineni will present a Gollabhama saree on behalf of Telangana state government to the guest lady.
Samantha Akkineni is the Brand Ambassador for the Telangana Handloom industry. She supports various initiatives for the welfare of weavers. Gollabhama saree a 50-year-old traditional outfit from Siddipet region. The place is famous for its craft of handlooms. The Gollabhama sari has already been highlighted with Geographical Indication (GI) status.
