Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, May 20: In yet another blow to Pakistan-based terror organisation, a close aide of Jaish-e-Mohammad (JeM) was found dead in Karak city of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Pakistan. Notably, Mufti Fayyaz Mohammad was shot dead by unknown men and succumbed to the injuries. He was a religious preacher and recruiter for several terror groups. He was also a close aide to JeM chief Masood Azhar.

It is pertinent to mention that this was not the first time that a terrorist linked to the spread of terror in India was targeted by unidentified men on its own territory. These unknown have targeted and eliminated several JeM terrorists or aides of the terror group, including those closely associated with Azhar.

Besides, Hafiz Saeed's close associates were also met with a similar fate which have been also dubbed as a significant blow to the terror organisations which are responsible for orchestrating terror attacks on the neighbouring nation.

It is worth mentioning Pakistan has been facing multiple issues including economic crisis and terrorism which had once "born and brought up" by its own military. It has witnessed an abrupt jump in terror attacks, especially near the border regions of Afghanistan.
