New Delhi, April 8: Amid the month of Ramadan, a debatable video of Muslim man having an argument at Delhi's Seelampur Metro Station is going viral on social media. Notably, the man was caught by security personnel for carrying meat in his bag which is not allowed in metro station.
In the video, the Muslim man was carrying meat in his bag. Upon being apprehended by security personnel for investigation, he engaged in a verbal altercation with them. In footage captured outside, the young man is seen holding a food container. He claimed that he was carrying the meat for Iftar.
According to the security personnel, the Muslim man used abusive language as in the video the security personnel can be heard asking, "Why are you using abusive language?". Consequently, the security personnel detained him and escorted him indoors. Further, he was also seen fighting with the security personnel outside the metro station.
The video went viral on social media with netizens debating about it. Many within the Muslim community are backing the Muslim man involved, asserting that the soldiers acted unjustly towards him as he was simply carrying Iftar food. He maintains that the box contained only food.
However, the metro station notes specific regulations, prohibiting certain items from being brought inside. This includes raw meat, fish, human or animal skeletons, blood, bones, and any human body parts. Additionally, carrying explosive materials such as hand grenades, gunpowder, firecrackers, plastic explosives, and flammable substances like cooking gas or petroleum is strictly forbidden. Furthermore, passengers are not permitted to carry liquor, sharp weapons, or heavy items while using the metro.
