Dehradun, April 6: In a horrifying development, a Muslim shopkeeper sexually assaulted a Hindu girl inside the shop in Dehradun's Karanpur, Uttarakhand. This prompted several Hindu organisations to protest against the Muslim shopkeeper and urged officials to take strict action against the preparator. Several videos of the demonstrations are being circulated on social media.
The incident took place on Thursday (April 4) at around 12.30 pm when the Hindu girl had gone to a clothing shop to meet her friend. However, her friend was not present. Taking advantage of the situation, the Muslim shopkeeper grabbed the girl, took her inside the shop and sexually molested her.
Upon receiving the information about the heinous crime, members of several Hindu organizations including Bajrang Dal reached the spot and started to protest against the Muslim shopkeeper. Police from Dalanwala police station reached the spot and pacified the people who were creating a ruckus.

The victim girl informed her parents about the incident, prompting the Bajrang Dal superheroes to apprehend the Islamist shopkeeper.

Notably, the Muslim shopkeeper used to note down the numbers of Hindu girls and sends them to various social media groups. Suspicious chats were also found on his phone.
Following the incident, Vikas Verma reported that a trade board convened on Thursday evening, attended by over 300 officials and members. It was agreed during this gathering that prior approval from the Trade Board would be mandatory before leasing or selling any shop. Additionally, a monthly review meeting has been scheduled to monitor proceedings.
