Ayodhya, Apr 17: The Ram Janmabhoomi is once again the center of a grand celebration during the auspicious occasion of Ram Navami , following the recent Pran Pratishtha ceremony. The festivities at the Ram Mandir are marked by a grand offering of 56 varieties of bhog, prasad, and panjiri.
Acharya Satyendra Das, the Chief Priest of Ram Janmabhoomi Temple, noted that the Trust is handling all arrangements, ensuring the celebration is infused with great enthusiasm. "All preparations, including decorations, are meticulously managed by the Trust. The celebrations for Ram Navami are going to be exceptionally spirited," he stated.
The Chief Priest mentioned that the temple and its surroundings are lavishly adorned for the occasion, with the idol of Bhagwan Ram dressed in yellow garments. The idol undergoes a Panchamrit bath, and several types of panjiri and 56 varieties of offerings are presented to the deity.
Acharya Satyendra Das also pointed out the beauty of the day, emphasizing that sun rays would illuminate Bhagwan Rama's forehead. He regarded the day as extraordinary, considering the completion of the Ram Mandir. "Today, on Ram Navami, we witness a beautiful phenomenon as sunlight touches Bhagwan Rama's forehead. The temple is fully built, and Ramlala's life has been consecrated here, making it a very special day."
Shyama Yadav, who prepares prasad, revealed that she has been working on the prasad for 10 days, producing at least 50 quintals, with more in progress. She described the experience of preparing prasad for the Ram Mandir as a blessing.
The Shri Ram Janmbhoomi Teerth Kshetra Trust shared images on its official X account, depicting priests conducting Divya Abhisheka of Ramlala Sarkar at the temple. Other photos showcased the Divya Shringar of Bhagwan Rama during the celebrations.
Prime Minister Narendra Modi extended his best wishes for the festival via his official X account. He expressed his gratitude for witnessing the Pran-Pratishtha in Ayodhya alongside millions of others, describing it as a memorable moment.
The PM highlighted the uniqueness of this Ram Navami, as it marks the first celebration since Ramlala was enthroned in the grand and divine Ram temple of Ayodhya. He noted the joy in Ayodhya, emphasizing the achievement after centuries of effort and dedication.
In another message, PM Modi expressed his confidence that the life and teachings of Bhagwan Shri Ram would form a foundation for a developed India. His blessings, he believes, will energize the vision of a self-reliant India.
Large crowds of devotees visited the Ram Mandir on Wednesday morning, taking dips in the holy waters of the Saryu River before attending darshan at the temple, which began at 3:30 am. The celebrations are broadcast on around 100 LED screens across the city and through the Trust's social media accounts.
