In a shocking developement an explosion occurred on Friday in Bengaluru's Rameshwaram Cafe, injuring several people. The explosion took place at the cafe's Whitefield location.
As per sources, at least four people have been injured. The exact cause of the explosion is yet to be ascertained
As per ground reports, the police had suspected a cylinder blast, but initial investigation reveals that it has been ruled out. Reporters have further shared that this was the new branch of the popular food outlet Rameshwaram Cafe which opened in Brookfield.
Visuals of the explosion were circulated on social media, showing large crowd assembled in the neighborhood. A video also indicated that a fire engine had arrived at the scene.
As of now, four people have been injured, three women and one man. The blast is said to have taken place around 12:56 PM. The area near the cafe and HAL has been cordoned off by cops to assess the situation.
