New Delhi, Feb 7: In a shocking development, founder of the Sab Loktantra news portal, Rachit Kaushik was arrested by four Punjab Police officers from Muzaffarnagar, Uttar Pradesh. Notably, he was arrested by police officers who were in civil dress.
This came as Kaushik was in Muzaffarnagar to attend a family wedding in the evening when Kaushik was accompanying his niece from the parlour to the wedding location.
Who is Rachit Kaushik?
Rachit Kaushik, a resident of Shahdara in Delhi, is the founder of Sab Loktantra news portal. He runs his own YouTube channel in which he had exposed some facts about Aam Aadmi Party convenor and Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal and his family as well as Bhagwant Mann-led government.
According to Sab Loktantra X handle, the arrest was a conspiracy so four Punjab police personnel took revenge for making videos on Kejriwal and Bhagwant Mann-led government.
What happened?
A white Scorpio with number plate PB65pf5966 suddenly came in front of Rachit Kaushik's vehicle in which journalist and his wife were in the car. A Sikh man in civilian uniform came and forcibly picked him up from Muzaffarnagar, Uttar Pradesh on 7:00 pm "They want to suppress the freedom of democracy and freedom of expression," the tweet read.
