New Delhi, Sept 7: In a shocking development, a Muslim mob including women held Chehlum processions in the New Delhi district ahead of the G20 Summit to be held September 9-10 in the national capital.
 
Muslims hold Chehlum Section 144 G20 Summit Delhi 
The video of the Muslims taking out Chehlum processions went viral on social media. In the viral video, the Muslim mob carrying out the Islamic processions walked on the streets and raised religious slogans. Reports suggest that the protest caused a traffic jam that lasted for hours in the district.
 
It is pertinent to mention that the processions took place amid the imposition of Section 144 and ahead of the G20 Summit in Delhi.
 
Notably, the processions were reported as protests on social media. But, the Delhi Police refuted the reports and called it "false news".
 
The Delhi Police said, "FALSE NEWS: Some social media handles are wrongly projecting videos of Chehlum procession, as communal protest before G-20 Summit. The Chehlum procession is traditional one and carried out with due permissions from the law enforcing agencies. Please do not Spread rumors."
 
 
However, netizens are questioning the Delhi Police stance on favoring the Chehlum processions over Bhagwan Krishna Janmashtami events. According to them Janmashtami events which were to be held in New Delhi were cancelled due to Section 144 imposed due to G20 Summit.
