This festival, realised through two years of devoted effort & the blessings of Hon. Swami Govind Dev Giri will be a place where people can devote the effort of their own hands to Shri Ram, while also reconnecting citizens to our culture of handweaving.

Pune : The movement for Shri Ramjanmabhoomi Temple at Ayodhya has seen an incredible participation by people from all walks of life. Millions of people have been emotionally invested & connected to this re-establishment of faith & devotion, awaiting the unveiling of this historical temple.

Shri Ram Janmabhoomi Teerth Kshetra Trust, Ayodhya & Heritage Handweaving Revival Charitable Trust, Pune have decided to provide another opportunity for people to connect to this movement by organizing "Do Dhage Shri Ram Ke Liye", an initiative under which, from 10th to 22nd December, thousands of people will weave on handlooms in Pune to create Vastras for Shri Ram Lalla Viraajman at Ayodhya.
 
Swami Govind Dev Giri, the treasurer of Shri Ram Janmabhoomi Teerth Kshetra Trust & Anagha Ghaisas along with Vinay Patrale, founders of Heritage Handweaving Revival Charitable Trust, Pune, while making this announcement, said that this 13 day festival will also feature a grand list of programs at the same venue.

Since 1985, millions of people have given their enthusiastic participation to many programs in the Ram Janmabhoomi movement. We are organizing this festival, "Do Dhage Shri Ram Ke Liye" in Pune, as the next innovative step in this chain of events. Citizens from all castes, creeds & regions will participate in this festival, breaking all constraints of financial & regional disparity to unite & weave their devotion into Vastras for Shri Ram, setting a blazing example of patriotism & unity.
 
A handloom will be brought from every state in India, along with looms from other countries including Nepal. To be inaugurated on 10th December by notable dignitaries, the festival will welcome all people to weave on these handlooms every day till Geeta Jayanti, 22nd December 2023. All participants will be given a practical on the technique of weaving.
