Newsbharati earlier on 10th Aug 2023 in its exclusive news, reported how DAV Public School near Puri road, Odisha’s teacher tried to Islamise minor Hindu kids by asking them to wear Hijab & Burkha which sparked heavy protests from local Bajrang Dal karyakartas.

Leading legal activism group Kalinga Rights Forum filed a complaint with NCPCR (National Commission for Protection of Child Rights), New Delhi to take action against the school teacher & principal as per Juvenile Justice (Care & Protection) Act 2015, RTE Act as well as Sections & sub-sections of the IPC 295A,153A, 505(2) as well as Section 3 & Section 4 of Odisha's anti-conversion law "Odisha Freedom of Religion Act 1989" for trying to Islamise minor Hindu kids & acting mischievously since it does not celebrate any other Hindu festivals in school.

NCPCR Orders District Magistrate of Puri to Take Actions

Newsbharati Team contacted Kalinga Rights Forum’s legal activism team regarding the said incident & learned that hon’ble NCPCR has ordered the District Magistrate, Puri Odisha to take action in this incident & submit an action taken report to the commission within 10 days of receiving the letter either in English or Hindi.

Now it remains to be seen what action is taken by the District magistrate of Puri Odisha against DAV Public School, Puri Odisha
