J&K police arrest LeT militant associate in Shopian

Srinagar, Aug 23: Security forces on Tuesday arrested a Lashker-e-Toiba (LeT) militant associate and recovered arms and ammunition in Jammu Kashmir’s Shopian district.
Police along with 44 Rashtriya Rifles (RR) and 14 Bn Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) busted a militant module during a Cordon and Search Operation (CASO) at Naznenpora and arrested one LeT militant associate, police said.
One 40mm Pak origin RPG, one RPG grenade and two boosters were also recovered during the operation.

A case has been registered in this connection and investigations taken up, they added.
“Shopian Police along with 44RR &14 Bn CRPF busted a terrorist module during a CASO at Naznenpora & arrested one LeT terrorist associate & recovered one 40mm Pak Origin RPG,01 RPG granade & 02 boosters. Case registered & investigation taken up”, the Jammu and Kashmir tweeted.
