Amid when Muslims and Opposition across the country started opposing the Union Civil Code, an old video of Faisal Khan, popularly known as Khan sir, where he exposed the duplicity of the Islamists over the UCC is going viral on social media.
Going further, we first need to understand the issue.
The concept of UCC entails the establishment of a unified set of laws governing personal matters, including marriage, divorce, inheritance, and adoption, applicable to all citizens regardless of their religious affiliation. The Indian Constitution, under Article 44, a part of the Directive Principles of State Policy, supports the implementation of a UCC, urging states to strive towards its realisation.
It should be noted that it all started after the Prime Minister, on June 27, batted for the UCC while speaking to party functionaries in the poll-bound state of Madhya Pradesh. Since then, several Muslim organisations have started opposing it.

This particular punishment was the order of the day in Taliban-era Afghanistan in the late 1990s, demonstrating that the group’s recent claims of being moderate in conduct were nothing more than lip service, aimed at pacifying internal resistance and seeking international legitimacy.
He further said that if they can follow the same penal code and want to get punished as per the IPC instead of Sharia law, then why are they opposing UCC? If they are opposing UCC, then they should be punished as per Islamic law.
