Reviewing the working of the state Planning Department, the CM laid emphasis on sector-wise growth and directed the officials to explore opportunities in the state’s Bundelkhand and Purvanchal regions. For 2022-23, the government’s estimated GDP is Rs 21.91 lakh crore, he added. Stressing the need to explore possibilities by engaging universities and technical institutions, the CM said, “A comprehensive study should be conducted on where and which sectors require efforts, and what kind of assistance should be provided.

The study report should be compiled by the Planning Department and used accordingly to incorporate it in the action plan.” The allocation of funds for the development of Bundelkhand and Purvanchal should be done based on their long-term and multi-dimensional development needs considering the local requirements, Adityanath said. Citing information from the Niti Aayog’s Champions of Change platform as of May 2023, it was claimed during the meeting that UP has six of the country’s 10 top-performing districts. It was informed during the meeting that 41,440 Family IDs have already been issued so far against 98,046 applications. Directions were also issued to ensure that the family welfare E-passbook is made so that welfare schemes provided to the families can be integrated.
