Gautam Adani was knocked down by the scathing Hindenburg report, but he was not out. After losing a large fortune, the millionaire industrialist is gradually gathering up the pieces.

The Adani Group chairman met Bangladesh Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina on Saturday to celebrate the start-up and handover of the 1,600 MW ultra-supercritical Godda Power Plant.

"It was an honor to meet Bangladesh Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina on the full-load start-up and handover of the 1600 MW Ultra Super Critical Godda Power Plant." "I salute the dedicated teams from India and Bangladesh who overcame COVID to complete the plant in three and a half years," Adani tweeted.

Adani Power established the 1,600 MW thermal power plant in Godda, Jharkhand, to provide power generated to the Bangladesh Power Development Board (BPDB) via a dedicated transmission line.

Adani Power said last month that its Godda Plant was fully operational.

Adani Power Jharkhand Limited (APJL), a wholly-owned subsidiary of Adani Power Limited, announced the commercial operations date (COD) of its second unit of its 2 x 800 MW Godda Ultra super critical thermal power plant (Godda USCTPP) on June 26 in Jharkhand.

According to the statement, the reliability run rest, which included commercial operation tests of the second unit of the Godda power plant, was concluded on June 25 in the presence of BPDB and Power Grid Corporation of Bangladesh (PGCB) authorities.

The first unit of the power plant, with a capacity of 800 MW, reached COD in April of this year.

According to the business, power supplied from Godda USCTPP to Bangladesh's system would increase energy security in Bangladesh.

Adani met Hasina during her visit to India last September.
