The Indian Army successfully pushed Chinese forces to dismantle four tents they had constructed in the Table Top Area of Gurung Hills in Chushul, a designated buffer zone along the Line of Actual Control (LAC) in Eastern Ladakh. Both forces had designated the region as a buffer zone.
The placement of tents by the Chinese People's Liberation Army (PLA) was seen by villagers, who quickly notified Indian Army officers. Responding quickly, Indian Army forces came on the site and compelled the Chinese troops to destroy the tents.
Local councillor Konchok Stanzin stated that all four tents had been removed. According to witnesses, the entire procedure went off without a hitch.
Local villagers commended the Indian Army's quick response and effectiveness in restoring the status quo in the region. They praised the Indian Army, emphasising that it is in complete command of the situation and has a tight grip on the region.
