Loud screams, big jerks...: New viral video emerges of moments before Balasore train accident

A purported video has gone viral from inside the Coromandel Express just moments before the deadly train crash at Bahanaga in Balasore on June 2. The viral video was reportedly taken by a passenger inside the train.

 

 

 

The video which was reportedly captured by one of the passengers of Coromandel Express shows a sanitation personnel mopping the floor of an AC coach while others passengers are either sleeping on their berths or busy chatting with their co-passengers.

 

A sudden jerk seems to have thrown the person shooting the video off balance with the phone slipping out of the hands. After the fall, everything goes dark with loud screams and jersk everywhere. People in the coach can be heard screaming for their lives before the video ends abruptly.

 

 

 

While the authenticity of the video is yet to be established, the screams of the passengers is enough to how scary it would have been for them.

 

 

A total of 288 passengers lost their lives when the Shalimar-Chennai Coromandel Express derailed and hit a stationary goods train and Yeshvantpur-Howrah Superfast Express simultaneously on June 2nd evening.

The CBI has taken over the investigation into the train accident from the GRP and is currently continuing the probe.
