Air Marshal Dixit flew in the LCA Trainer aircraft, which is presently undergoing final developmental test flights, during his visit. He has played a key role in advancing the Indian Air Force's aspirations towards independence in the development and production of combat aircraft as a skilled Experimental Test Pilot.

On April 5, 2023, the HAL-produced LCA Trainer (LT 5201) took off for its first flight from the HAL airport. The LCA Tejas Trainer, a twin-seater trainer plane, is an essential component of the Indian Air Force's fleet modernization programme. Along with the Tejas Mark 1 and Mark 1A fighter planes, it is one of the three HAL Tejas production versions.

The Indian Air Force's pilot training and mission rehearsal are greatly improved by the LCA Tejas Trainer. It offers a good platform for the development of pilot skill and operational preparedness due to its twin-seater layout. The trainer aircraft's cutting-edge features and technology allow pilots to refine their skills and get ready for a variety of operational circumstances.
