London, Jun 15: Khalistani separatist Avtar Singh Khanda, who was based in the UK and was responsible for recent destruction at the Indian High Commission in London, is said to have passed away today in Birmingham hospital.
Khanda, a well-known associate of Amritpal Singh and a member of the outlawed Khalistani terrorist group Babbar Khalsa International (BBI), passed away after being admitted to the hospital for a serious case of blood cancer. Social media sources, who have been active in reporting on his health status over the past few days, corroborated this information.
Khanda, a notorious fanatic terrorist, relentlessly promoted a separatist agenda throughout his life and made repeated attempts to undermine the sovereignty of India. His vandalism of the Indian High Commission in London, one of his most well-known acts, resulted in his arrest by UK authorities. Khanda was also a skilled bomb maker & was renowned for making IEDs & bombs using commonly available chemicals in the market.

According to reports, Khanda was the one spotted removing the Indian Flag from the embassy during a protest that was organised by supporters of Khalistan. This conduct, which was criticised internationally and brought attention to the growing worries about terrorist operations abroad, was seen as an overt provocation and a direct assault on Indian sovereignty. Khanda, who was born in Punjab's Moga district, comes from a family that has a strong connection to the Khalistan extremism.
