Ignoring Ajit Pawar, Sharad Pawar declares Supriya Sule & Praful Patel as NCP working presidents

As per the announcement, Supriya Sule, MP from Baramati, has been given the responsibility of Maharashtra, Haryana, Punjab, Women Youth and Lok Sabha Coordination, while Praful Patel will look after Madhya Pradesh, Rajasthan and Goa.

Giving a major jolt to the Ajit dada Pawar, the National Congress Party supremo, Sharad Pawar has declared daughter and MP Supriya Sule and Rajya Sabha MP Praful Patel as working presidents of the party.

He made this announcement month after announcing his resignation from the post of party president. The announcement was made in the presence of Ajit Pawar, a key player in NCP. He was speaking at the 24th foundation day function of NCP.
 
As per the announcement, Supriya Sule, MP from Baramati, has been given the responsibility of Maharashtra, Haryana, Punjab, Women Youth and Lok Sabha Coordination, while Praful Patel will look after Madhya Pradesh, Rajasthan and Goa.

 

NCP National General Secretary Sunil Tatkare has been given the responsibility of Odisha, West Bengal, farmers, and minority departments. Sharad Pawar also announced that Nanda Shastri is the Delhi NCP chief.
 
After the announcement was made, Supriya Sule said she was deeply grateful to the party, adding that she is determined to justify the trust reposed in her by the party.
 
Sharad Pawar had last month offered to resign from the presidency of the party which was followed by fervent remonstrations from the party members as well as other political leaders.
 
Pawar had taken back his resignation as the national president as emotional party workers created a hue and cry and protested against his decision.
 
This comes in the back drop of Sharad Pawar receiving a death threat through Twitter. Following that, Pawar’s daughter and NCP MP Supriya Sule lodged a complaint with Mumbai police commissioner Vivek Phansalkar about the threat and demanded a thorough probe.
 
It should be noted that the Mumbai Police registered a case against two people in connection with a threat call to Sharad Pawar. Police registered a case under section 153A, 504, 506(2) of IPC, Crime Branch is also investigating the matter.
