Pakistan, which needs to introspect their own crisis, is now showing their so-called concern towards Kashmiri journalists who are arrested for anti-India activities in Jammu and Kashmir.
 
Jammu & Kashmir Counter Disinformation Centre (JKCDC), in a series of tweets, has come to forward to inform details of campaigns being run by Pakistani handles through social media. The handles has come up with false claims about "Kashmiri Journalists including Irfan Mehraj, Fahad Shah, Asif Sultan & Sajad Gul are facing illegal detentions" who are actually arrested by security agencies.

It should be noted that none of these journalists were booked because they were journalists butt because they were involved in different unlawful and anti-national activities and are connected with registered FIRs based on their unlawful activities and work.
 
 
Irfan Mehraj
Irfan Mehraj was arrested in an NGO Terror funding case by NIA. He is a close associate of Khurram Parvez and also working with his organization, Jammu and Kashmir Coalition of Civil Societies. The JKCCS was funding terror activities in the valley. It was also revealed that it had been in propagation of secessionist agenda in the Valley under the garb of protection of human rights. He was also questioned multiple times by the central anti-terror agency in connection with the case.

Fahad Shah
Last month, a NIA court framed charges against Kashmiri Journalist Fahad Shah in "Anti-National" write-up case along with Abdul Aala Fazili, a Srinagar research scholar. Shah runs a news magazine “Kashmir Walla” was accused of spreading the anti-India narrative by exploiting the digital platforms under a concealed and camouflaged set-up, with the help of illicit funding received from hostile foreign agencies and proscribed terrorist organisations. The investigation has established that the duo accused were in touch with secessionists across the border and also with some identified terrorists locally.
Through their publications the duo have “brazenly advocated terrorism” and “glorified the terrorists” with the sole intention to “radicalize the youth of the J&K and to entice and incite them in joining secessionist and terrorist organisations.”

Sajad Gul
Sajad Gul, a Kashmiri journalist, was arrested in January 2022 for whipping up anti-India sentiments by uploading a protest video with anti-national slogans raised by some women after wanted terrorist Saleem Parray was eliminated in Shalimar Srinagar. Gul was arrested for instigating people to “resort to violence and disturb public peace.”

“…the said person under the garb of journalist [sic] is habitual of spreading disinformation/false narratives through different social media platforms to create ill will against the government by provoking general masses to resort to violence and disturb public peace and tranquillity,” the statement released by the police read.
Asif Sultan
Asif Sultan was booked under UAPA and various other sections of the RPC and IPC by the then govt in 2018. The charges against Sultan, who worked as an assistant editor at a local news magazine, include criminal conspiracy, harboring Terrorists, aiding and participating in terrorism related activities. A charge-sheet against Asif Sultan was filed by J&K Police for sheltering terrorist who killed a Police constable in a shootout in August 2018 at Batamaloo in Srinagar.

During the investigation, the police seized 17 sheets with the letterhead of the HM (Terrorist Outfit) from Sultan’s home at the time of his arrest. The police dossier said that Asif Sultan came in contact with cadres of Ansar Ghazwat-Ul-Hind, a terror outfit, who motivated him to work for the terror outfit as OGW to provide logistic support. Asif was also involved in aiding the “terrorist outfit, TRF & JeM”, which are a potent threat to the maintenance security of J&K.
