Just a day after the state-run Saudi television channel mocked US President Joe Biden for his lost behaviour, now Biden while giving another reason for mocking, again made the gaffe during a speech at the Canadian Parliament in Ottawa.
As per the reports Biden mistakenly praised China while delivering a speech to the Canadian parliament, evoking laughter from those in attendance. The 80-year-old president, who is often criticised for making gaffes, confused Canada with China. The video of it is going viral on social media.
"In the United States, we're expanding legal pathways for migration, to seek safety and humanitarian…humanitarian basis, while discouraging unlawful migration that feeds exploitation and human trafficking," the president began.
"So today, I applaud China for stepping out...excuse me, I applaud Canada," Biden stumbled while Canadian Members of Parliament laughed.
Yesterday, Saudi Arabia’s state-run television network aired a skit where the actor playing the president stumbles as he climbs the staircase leading to Air Force One while the comic portraying Vice President Kamala Harris looks on in horror.
