This come to light after a video of the incident went viral on social media. The incident took place near Siddaramaiah's private residence in Bengaluru when party workers had come to meet him. Siddaramaiah reportedly slapped the party worker as congress supporters turned upon him.

It has been reported that grand old party, senior congress leader, and ex-chief minister Siddaramanahundi Siddarame Gowda Siddaramaiah was in hurry and the Congress workers were trying to approach him. The party worker from the Davangere district who was slapped had come to ask Siddaramaiah to give a Congress leader from the Harihara constituency a ticket.

It is pertinent to note that this is not the first time that the former Karnataka CM was caught slapping. The Congress leader in the year 2019 slapped a man outside the Mysuru airport. The Congress worker, who was seen standing next to Siddaramaiah while he was addressing the media, was apparently trying to make the Congress leader talk on the phone.

The man slapped by Siddaramaiah was an aide of the former CM.
