Pakistanis heckle, interrupt discussion on Kashmir's transformation in Washington DC

On the same day, India once again slammed Pakistan for raking up the Kashmir issueat the United Nations Human Rights Council (UNHRC) after it spoke about Jammu and Kashmir during the General Debate under Agenda item 4 at the UNHRC.

Washington DC, March 24: Following the old habbit of 'poking its nose' in India's internal thing, Pakistanis interrupted a discussion on the transformation of Kashmirin Washington DC's National Press Club on Thursday.

This come to light after video of the incidnet when agitated Pakistani official's were seen yelling at the speaker during the discussion. At the same time, another Pakistani was seen escorted out shouting 'Freedom of speech'. The Pakistani was then promptly escorted out.
 
 
Notably, the International Center for Peace Studies hosted a panel discussion: Kashmir - From Turmoil to Transformation: perspectives from the ground, on March 23 at the National Press Club in Washington, DC. The panellists included Mir Junaid, President of the Jammu and Kashmir Workers Party, and Touseef Raina, President of the Municipal Council of Baramulla in Jammu and Kashmir.
 
 
On the same day, India once again slammed Pakistan for raking up the Kashmir issue at the United Nations Human Rights Council (UNHRC) after it spoke about Jammu and Kashmir during the General Debate under Agenda item 4 at the UNHRC.
 
"We call on Pakistan to focus on the safety, security and well-being of its minority communities instead of engaging in futile propaganda and attempting to foment communal disharmony in India," said PR Thulasidhass, Under Secretary, Ministry of External Affairs, Permanent Mission of India at the United Nations Human Rights Council.
 
"The delegate of Pakistan referred to Jammu and Kashmir, which was, is and shall forever remain an integral part of India. Jammu and Kashmir is marching towards peace and prosperity along with the rest of India. This is despite Pakistan's repeated attempts to derail the process, through its active and sustained support to terror groups and its malicious disinformation campaign against India. FM of Pakistan has voiced Pakistan's frustration due to its failure in its malicious propaganda against India," he added.
