In a first, 10th class exam held in March session in J&K after abrogation of Article 370

The J&K govt aims to make equality between J&K exams and with rest of the country as all board examinations across country are held usually in March.

Srinagar, March 14: After the abrogation of Article 370, 10th class examination was held all over Kashmir valley in March. This came after a decision was taken by J&K government to hold all the examinations in the March session.

It aims to make equality between J&K exams and with rest of the country as all board examinations across country are held usually in March. The decision was taken to sync the Academic calendar of J&K with National Academic Calendar.
 
The government has also decided that Annual Exams will be held in mid-March in plain areas and mid-April in snow-bound areas. The announcement of results will be declared in June for all areas simultaneously.
 
As per the date sheet already notified by JK Board, the annual (Regular 2023) examination of class 10th to 12th students enrolled in schools falling in soft zone areas of Jammu and Kashmir commenced from March 9 and March 8 while the class examination commenced from 6 March 2023.
