Hyderabad, March 01:Telangana Congress Chief, Revanth Reddy, was attacked as miscreants hurled eggs and tomatoes at him in Bhupalapally district on Tuesday.
The incident happened when Revanth Reddy was addressing the public during 'Haath se Haath jodo' padyatra, which in many ways, is an extension of the Bharat Jodo Yatra.
Reddy was delivering a speech when a group of miscreants suddenly started throwing eggs and tomatoes at him. The entire commotion was caught on camera.
Following the incident, TPCC Chief took to Twitter and wrote, "BRS goons threw stones on our street corner meeting in Bhupalapally and tried to disturb it. But we are Congress soldiers and are not afraid of anyone. It's just 16 days of Yatra for change and you see the fear in the BRS party."
Telangana Congress also alleged that the police didn't even make any effort to stop the attack.
Reddy had earlier said, that the yatra was launched to take the message to the people about what chief minister K Chandrashekar Rao failed to do for the state. "We're launching this yatra to bring the message to the people about what KCR, his family and the BRS Government has failed to do for Telangana," he said.
