Coming from one of the oldest and most distinguished engineering units of the Indian Army, Colonel Noreen Shanet John is an officer of the Madras Engineering Group (MEG) and Centre, which is one of the oldest and most distinguished engineering units of the Indian Army. The MEG and Centre is responsible for providing engineering support to the Indian Armed Forces, including the construction of roads, bridges, and other infrastructure.
 
As a senior officer of the MEG and Centre, Colonel John has served in a variety of roles and has been recognized for her outstanding contributions to the Indian Armed Forces. Colonel Noreen Shanet John also served as a GTO officer at SSB Allahabad.
