Rawalpindi, Feb 22: Hizbul Mujahideen chief and designated terrorist Syed Salahuddin was seen attending funerals for Bashir Ahmad Peer alias Imtiyaz Alam who was killed in Rawalpindi. Peer, who was listed as wanted terrorist, was the launching commander of the Hizbul Mujahideen.
The funeral took place in a Pakistan army burial ground immediately after the murder. The footage again shows how freely the terrorists are roaming around in the country after Pathankot terror attack mastermind, Syed Salahuddin is going viral on social media. Reports also claimed that other officers of Pak ISI were also present at the funeral.
The video clearly a proof of Pakistan sheltering and funding the terrorists.
Notably, Bashir Ahmad was a resident of Jammu and Kashmir's Kupwara district. He, however, was living in Pakistan for more than 15 years. Media reports said that the unidentified assailants shot dead the Hizbul commander from point blank range outside a shop in Rawalpindi.

Peer used to involved in the infiltration of terrorists and expansion of activities of Hizbul Mujahideen, Lashkar-e-Taiba, and other terrorist organisations into Jammu and Kashmir through Line of Control. India designated the now-slain Hizbul commander a terrorist on October 4, 2022 under the Unlawful Activities (Prevention) Act for his role in terror activities.
