Pune, Feb 19: Home Minister Amit Shah inaugurated the first phase of Shivsrushti, a historical theme park highlighting the life and valor of Maratha king Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj, on the birth anniversary of the Maratha king.

Shivsrushti was conceptualised by the late Padmavibhushan Shivshahir Babasaheb Purandare, who dedicated his entire life to popularising the achievements of Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj. Now, Shivsrushti is being completed by Maharaja Shivchhatrapati Pratishthan, a trust founded by late Shri Babasaheb Purandare.
