In an effort to bolster their naval capabilities, the ENC is expected to welcome a total of 20 to 25 new warships by the year 2037.

These state-of-the-art warships will consist of a diverse range of vessels, such as frigates, corvettes, diving support vessels, survey vessels, anti-submarine warfare shallow watercrafts, nuclear submarines, helicopters, and aircraft.

With the addition of these new assets, the ENC will be better equipped to safeguard India's maritime interests, particularly in the Bay of Bengal and beyond. This development is certainly a testament to the ENC's dedication to protecting our nation's waters.

Specific warships to be inducted include:

Nilgiri-class frigates: These frigates are stealthy and versatile warships that are equipped with a variety of weapons and sensors.

Next Generation Corvettes: These corvettes are smaller and more agile than frigates, and they are designed for patrol and surveillance missions.

Diving Support Vessels: These vessels are used to support diving operations, such as underwater repairs and salvage.

Survey Vessels: These vessels are used to conduct hydrographic surveys, which are essential for navigation and charting.

Anti-Submarine Warfare shallow watercrafts: These vessels are used to detect and engage submarines in shallow waters.

Nuclear submarines: These submarines are stealthy and powerful, and they are capable of carrying a variety of weapons.

Multi-role MH 60R Helicopters: These helicopters are used for a variety of missions, including search and rescue, anti-submarine warfare, and logistics support.

Upgraded anti-submarine Kamov Ka 28 Helicopters: These helicopters are used to detect and engage submarines.

Medium-lift C-295 aircraft: These aircraft are used for a variety of missions, including transport, surveillance, and search and rescue.

The addition of these new warships will greatly benefit the Eastern Naval Command (ENC) and play a crucial role in ensuring that India maintains a powerful and skilled Navy for years to come.
