Ahmedabad, Oct 2: Gujarat Police have reportedly arrested three people for calling out 'Sar Tan Se Juda' track during the Eid processions carried out in Gujarat's Vadodara. According to reports, a DJ was playing slogans of ‘Sar Tan Se Juda’ (beheading call for insult of prophet) during Eid-e-Milad procession in Vadodara.
The names of the accused are Haider Khan Pathan, who was the organizer of procession, Sarfaraz alias Chhotu alias Kalia Ansari, who was the one who told to play such slogans and Rahul Radheshyam Dhobi, the one who executed the task as per Sarfaraz’s instruction. Rahul is the owner of DJ Band that played ‘Sar Tan Se Juda’ slogans in procession. Taking action against the act, the police have seized the DJ band equipment.
According to the police statement, the Eid-e-Milad procession was taking place in a Muslim-dominant area only, which is why no opposition was raised to object the ‘Sar Tan Se Juda’ track. Reports also state that as many DJs were playing several tracks simultaneously, the police present on the ground could not hear the provocative track of 'Sar Tan Se Juda' clearly at that time.
While police started investigating and three individuals had been arrested in the same matter, the video had went viral last night. The three accused have been booked under sections 153A, 153B, 114, 188 and 131, 135 of Indian Penal Code (IPC) and Gujarat Police Act
