The BrahMos air-launched missile was tested from a Su-30MKI fighter jet, which is capable of launching BrahMos cruise missiles capable of hitting enemy targets at great ranges.

"The BrahMos air-launched missile was launched recently from a Su-30MKI fighter jet." The aircraft took out with the missile from an air base on the southern peninsula and flew over 1,500 kilometers to successfully attack a target from a wider range than before, according to defense authorities.

The missile was a more extended variant of the supersonic weapon system, one of India's exclusive armaments developed in collaboration with Russian industry.

India has been attempting to create an extremely long-range, hit-capable BrahMos cruise missile that is launched from the air. According to the sources, the Indian Air Force recently conducted two tests of the land attack missile system, with excellent results. The missiles hit their target during the user trials.

Additionally, India exports missiles to friendly nations like the Philippines, where they will be used as coastal batteries.

The BrahMos Aerospace corporation is also looking at exporting the missiles to more countries and helping achieve the export targets set by Prime Minister Narendra Modi.
