Destroying Hindu temples with the name of Road construction, insulting Hindu gods and comparing Sanatan Dharma with Malaria, is what Dravida Munnetra Kazhagam (DMK), a party based on the ideology of Anti-Hindu Periyar, is infamous for. Time and again, may it be the social media or a public gathering the DMK and their supporters have shown their hatred for Sanatan Dharma.

 

 

Recently a video went viral, in which Erode Venkatappa Ramasamy, Periyar a Anti- Hindu, is seen insulting the Hindu gods. He is seen slapping Hindu gods/goddesses.

 

The video has been shared by the social media user @Shaktimeena and it has caused uproar on Twitter. Some social media users have called action against the social media user, while some have slammed the Tamil Nadu government for providing a safe haven to such anti-Hindu persons.

 

 

Moreover, one of the users wrote, "The problem is we can't even ask about Police action against this handle as the CM family themselves hate Hinduism & keep insulting our faith."

Those who don't know about the Periyar, then we must tell you that he was an activist- an upper-caste Brahmin who hated the caste system and tried to divide the Hindus based on his hatred. Periyar was a vicious anti-Hindu who vilified Hinduism and endorsed Islam and Christianity.

 

 

Periyar at the peak of his racist movement kept making it clear that Brahmins are irredeemable due to their virtue of being born a Brahmin. For instance, in an interview, it was asked, “Do you mean to say that Brahmins, by the very fact that they were born Brahmins, can never have honest intentions?” Periyar responded, “I do. They can never have honest intentions.”

 

 

He believed that Ramayana and Mahabharata were texts written by cunning North Indian Aryans (whom he considers Brahmins) to subjugate and control Southern Dravidians, Periyar has spread numerous canards about the Ramayana. All his lies were directed towards slandering the Maryada Purshottam. His lies ranged from accusing Shri Rama of being casteist to claiming that he killed and mutilated women. According to him, the Ramayana and Mahabharata were written by ‘cunning Aryans’ to erase the ‘Dravidian identity. Periyar organized agitations for the desecration of Ganesha idols. He elaborated extensively on the motivations behind the breaking of the idols.

 

 

Tamil people who idolize him as the father of Tamil Nadu, ironically don't know that Periyar once called Tamil a barbaric language. Not even that, he equated the greatest compilation of human values ‘Thirukkural’ to shit.

 

 

In DK’s newspapers, he makes extremely misogynistic assertation: “Had the British continued for another ten years, more than half of the Brahmin women would have been ours and Tamils would have been their husbands and the dominating caste would have been destroyed [by] more than half. Only after Brahmin women had started chasing our boys did the Brahmin men become very angry with the British.”

 

He even insulted his own wife: When the first wife of EVR Nagammai wanted to go to the temple, EVR could not win over her by his arguments. So he secretly went to some of his ‘minor’ friends and showed them his first wife and told them that she was a new Dasi in the town asking them to make her consent to their desires. Consequently, they started teasing and stalking her from the temple. Traumatised by this his wife stopped attending the temple.

Later she came to know that this was a trick played by her rationalist husband.

 

Interestingly, Periyar married his own daughter with the age gap of 50 year.
