We all hear the Gayatri mantra- A famous quote in Sanskrit that brings to the surface the efficacy of the Gayatri Mantra. It goes thus,
“Gayan Trayate Iti Gayatri”, meaning Gayatri is the protector of those who chant it. Gayatri is called the mother of all mantras. Sanatan Dharma gave a lot of importance to Vedic mantras, mantras are highly beneficial to enhancing the physical, mental and spiritual health of a person. For every mantra, there is a corresponding deity represented in an image.
Gayatri Devi or goddess Gayatri is depicted with five faces and ten hands seated on a red lotus flower. Two of her hands are shown in
Varada (boon giving) and
Abhaya (protective) poses, while the other eight hands hold a noose, spear, bow, skull, mace, conch, discuss, and whip. Symbolically all these weapons indicate the removal of ignorance, the conferring of wisdom and power.
The visible expression of Gayatri devi is lord Surya (sun). Surya is called
pratyaksha devata, who can be seen every day with the naked eye. The Gayatri mantra is the most important mantra chanted by the priestly class of Hinduism who are engaged in daily rituals. The ideal time to chant the Gayatri mantra is dawn, mid-day and dusk. The vibrations of Vedic mantras carry immense energy that is amplified by the prana and bioelectricity of the body and the sublime currents of spirituality refined thoughts and sentiments of the
sadhakas. From a scientific point of view, how the continuous movement of the motor in a dynamo generates electricity, the Gayatri

The Gayatri mantra is a compilation of twenty-four special syllables, which are so configured that the pronunciation of each gives rise to unique vibrations at one or more of the twenty-four important bio-electrical extrasensory energy nuclei in the
sadhakas body. A superficial outlook may say that Gayatri's spiritual practices appear like ordinary actions and it cannot be understood how one can benefit from them. But when super results of these are noted we perforce say that verily there is validity in these practices.
The 24 alphabets of
