India's HAL team meets Argentina's Army chief & Air Force chief to showcase "Made in India" defence capabilities

A HAL delegation along with Indian Ambassador Dinesh Bhatia met the Chief of General Staff of the Argentine Air Force, Brigadier General Xavier Julián Isaac, Chief of General Staff of Argentina Army General Guillermo Pereda.

New Delhi, Sept 3: In yet another significant development, Indian aerospace and defence company Hindustan Aeronautics Limited (HAL) Argentina met the high-level defence officials of Argentina including Chief of General Staff of Argentina Army and Chief of General Staff of the Argentine Air Force.

A HAL delegation along with Indian Ambassador Dinesh Bhatia met the Chief of General Staff of the Argentine Air Force, Brigadier General Xavier Julián Isaac, Chief of General Staff of Argentina Army General Guillermo Pereda. The aim is to strengthen bilateral defence co-operation with Argentina and discuss the interest in the Made in India TEJAS fighter aircraft.
 
In a tweet, the Embassy of India in Argentina, said, "The visiting @HALHQBLR delegation, together with Amb @dineshbhatia met General Guillermo Pereda, Chief of General Staff of @Ejercito_Arg at @MindefArg to showcase "Made in India" defence capabilities.
 
 
In a separate tweet, it said, "Yet another top level engagement for visiting @HALHQBLR delegation. Joined by Amb @dineshbhatia, they met Brigadier Xavier Julian Isaac, Chief of General Staff of @FuerzaArea_Arg to broaden defence cooperation with “Made in India” capabilities
 
 
As reported earlier, India and Argentina - both the countries had acknowledged that the HAL-manufactured LCA-Tejas combat jet has been offered to Argentinian Air Force. This came after External Affairs Minister (EAM) S Jaishankar was on a two-day official visit to Argentina.
According to the reports, the HAL delegation have given a formal invitation to Argentinian officials to visit the HAL facility for the Technical evaluation of the jet.
