Guwahati, Aug 5: With an aim to improve jointmanship and synergy, Air Marshal Dilip Kumar Patnaik , AOC in Chief, Eastern Air Command recently visited Air Force Station Tezpur, Assam. Patnaik was on a four day visit in the territory between Jul 31 and Aug 3.
The Air Marshal also flew a sortie in the SU-30MKI combat aircraft during his visit. The Official handle of Gajraj Corps tweeted, "Yet another step towards improved jointmanship and synergy between the sister services. Air Marshal, Dilip Kumar Patnaik, AOC in C, Eastern Air Command visited Gajraj Corps. He was briefed on key operational issues at the Corps HQ."
At the same time, Indian Army's Eastern Command Chief Lt Gen R P Kalita had also arrived at Tezpur in Assam on a four-day visit to Gajraj Corps, on Tuesday (Aug 2) during which he participated in deliberations on Sino-India boundary issues.
Defence PRO Lt Col Mahender Rawat said in a statement that Lt Gen Kalita arrived at Tezpur, the headquarters of Gajraj Corps, on Tuesday (Aug 2) to visit the forward areas along India's international boundary with China.
