New Delhi, Aug 5: West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee reportedly met Prime Minister Narendra Modi at his residence, today (Aug 5). Mamata Banerjee is likely to discuss issues pertaining to her state including GST dues with the Prime Minister.
During her four day visit in New Delhi, West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee is also slated to call on President Draupadi Murmu. Besides, the West bengal Cm is likely to attend a NITI Aayog governing council meeting on Aug 7, that will be chaired by Prime Minister Modi.
Mamata Banerjee, in consideration of her role as the Trinamool Congress Supremo, on Thursday (Aug 4) met her party's MP's and discussed the party's strategy during the monsoon session of parliament and the road to the 2024 Lok Sabha elections. Ahead of the Vice Presidential election that is to take place on Aug 6, Mamta Banerjee's meeting at the capital assume significance.
The All India Trinamool Congress (AITMC) tweeted, "Our Chairperson Mamata Banerjee held a meeting with all MPs in Delhi. The current parliament session, the road to 2024 and various issues were discussed, with several activities and initiatives outlined for the coming days. We are always committed to serving the people."
