Dattopant clearly states that all the theories like free trade and GATT are slavish to the developed nations ( G 7 nations) and multinational companies. They are instruments of economic imperialis and promote their interests.
Each nation has right to independence and sovereignty. The essence lies in right to take any decision for the nation and it's people. Such decisions that promote national interest ought to be within the framework of world welfare and happiness for all. Dr Shyama Prasad Mukherjee and Pt. Deendayal Upadhyaya treated these as the objectives of foreign policy of any nation.
Dattopant refers to the authors who see national interest as the purpose all serve and protect and achieve. It is treated to be the key to foreign policies. Every nation has freedom and authority to take the decisions related to all the aspects on national interest. Hindu heritage always perceived us as a part of the entire humanity.
Developing nations are allured and promised economic prosperity but the cost probably is foregoing sovereignty. But national sovereignty is the the central concept of Swadeshi. And Dattopant confidentiality claims that we are capable of economic reconstruction. The basis is self reliance and co-operation. Our renaissance is different from the western world as we are qualitatively not similar to west and we consider the whole mankind as our own.
Western Humanism keeps man at the centre. But Hindu darshan considers the whole humanity and universe. 'All is one', is the central thought. Pt Deendayal Ji expressed the thought in the theory of Integral Humanism which reflects Sanatan Dharma.
Swadeshi is not confined to material goods and sovereignty alone, it has to give rise to a new variety of world leadership'. We need to work relentlessly to reach this stage.
