No exodus in making! Srinagar Airport claims rumors of Kashmiri Pandits fleeing J&K

The Srinagar Airport took it to twitter today saying, "We strongly rebut this sensational rumor mongering. We handle between 16 thousand to 18 thousand passengers everyday. Today also the number of passengers is average."

New Delhi, Jun 3: The Srinagar Airport has issued a statement claiming that rumors are being spread regarding the mass fleeing of Kashmiri Pandits from Jammu and Kashmir. The Airport authorities have informed that today also the number of passengers traveling from Srinagar is average and there is no mass migration happening.

The Srinagar Airport took it to twitter today saying, "We strongly rebut this sensational rumor mongering. We handle between 16 thousand to 18 thousand passengers everyday. Today also the number of passengers is average. There is no heavy rush of minority community as rumored by this tweet. Please do not spread rumors like this." The statement comes in response to the rumors of another Kashmiri Pandit exodus has begun and people have crowded at the Srinagar Airport to flee away from their homeland.
 
 
 
 
 
The rumor comes in line with the ongoing spree of targeted killings of Kashmiri Pandits in the valley. In June itself 3 individuals have been killed by now. In a recent attack on Kashmiri, the Islamist terrorists have killed a bank manager in Kulgam of South Kashmir. The brutal attack took place in Arreh area of Kulgam.
 
However, at the same time, several Kashmiri journalists are sharing the chaos that the UT is witnessing because of the targeted killings of Kashmiri Pandits. Contrary to claims of the Srinagar Airport, on ground reporters of Kashmir have reported that people, may not by the means of flights, but have started to leave their homeland by other possible means.
