"Islam came to India through the invaders; Dr. Bhagwat said adding that it is also a historical fact that they destroyed thousands of temples in the past. Ayodhya, Kashi, Mathura, and now Gyanwapi is not just an issue, but historical fact. After resolving the Ram Janmabhumi issue, we are not interested in any such agitation in the future. We are not against any religion. Such issues should be resolved amicably through discussions and by the court of the law and all must abide by the court decision", said Sarsanghchalak Dr. Bhagwat.

Making an oblique reference to statements made by Maulana Asad Madani at the Jamiat Ulema E Hind conference that concluded at Deoband recently, Dr. Bhagwat advised the Muslim leaders to refrain from making extreme statements in the public domain while commenting on the issue. He also advised the Hindus to stop looking for Shivlinga in every mosque in India. He said that Hindus and Muslims should accept the court verdict on the Gyanwapi masjid dispute.

Indianness is the real culture of our country. Inclusiveness is our culture and we follow our religion with this cultural foundation. The country had suffered in the past from many social, religious, and political attacks. But the eternal teachings of Sanatana Dharma remained the foundation of oneness and inclusiveness of the country. India never invaded any country and always accepted and respected the principles of other religions. We are not against any religion or way of worship. After the partition of the country, many Muslims chose to remain with India. Muslims in India have their roots in the Sanatana Dharma and they should accept this fact to resolve this issue and other disputes, he said.

After realization of this fact if they choose to return to their ancestral fold we should welcome them with stretched hands, he said.

Recalling that many a nationalist Muslim participated in the freedom struggle Dr. Bhagwat named AshfaqUlah Khan and Ibrahim Khan Gardi could be real heroes of the Indian Muslims. Let us respect each religion and establish social harmony, he added.

Appreciating and praising the government on the stand it took on the Russia-Ukraine war, Bhagwat said that while the UN failed to interfere, India has taken a balanced stand. India should get strengthened and all religious organizations should unite together and demonstrate harmony, and equality to the entire humanity.

Emphasizing the need for unity, Kamalesh Patel said that even the terrorists have a good unity and network across the world. They get weapons and modern technology easily in a short span. But it is very difficult to unite virtuous and good people. Even the spiritual leaders fail to have a common agreement before the masses. He said that all the spiritual, and religious leaders, all religions, and faiths must unite to bring about a positive transformation and strengthen India.
