Udaipur, June 29: In a very horrifying incident, a Hindu tailor Kanhaiya Lal was brutally murdered on Tuesday afternoon by radical Islamists for supporting former BJP spokesperson Nupur Sharma. Now, it is being learned that a few weeks before his murder, Kanhaiya Lal was arrested on an FIR lodged against him for the post and following his release on bail, he had sought police protection citing death threats.
On June 10, Kanhaiya Lal was arrested after his son had shared a post supporting Nupur Sharma by the Udaipur Police. On June 15, after his release he started receiving death threats. He complained to cops about death threats but they refused to give security to him. The police did not take the matter seriously.
Notably, a Hindu man was beheaded by two radical Islamists in the Maldas street area of Udaipur, Rajasthan, on Tuesday. With no shame at all, the killers had posted a video of the beheading and even threatened to take Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s life. The outrage over the beheading has been trending with #JusticeForKanhaiyaLal.
Criticizing the Congress-led Rajasthan government over the beheading incident in Udaipur, former Chief Minister and Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) leader Vasundhara Raje on Tuesday said the Ashok Gehlot government's policies of incitement and appeasement led to communal violence in the state.

"With the brutal murder of innocent youth in Udaipur, it has become clear that due to the instigation and appeasement of the state government, the morale of the criminals is high. Due to this policy of the state government, a situation of communal frenzy and violence has arisen in the state. Those people and organizations behind this incident should be exposed and arrested immediately," Raje said.
According to the latest updates, the two accused have been arrested from the Rajsamand area in Rajasthan. Apart from this, the Rajasthan government on Tuesday announced the imposition of section 144 of CrPC in all the districts for the next one month.
